Heat built from the ground up

Nina's essentials class is exactly what it says: the useful parts of a vinyasa practice, done well, with nothing added for effect. It is a strong class, but the strength comes from steady repetition rather than novelty, and there is no shouting.

What you will meet

  • Long standing sequences with few resets.
  • Sustained core and shoulder work.
  • One balance section, held longer than is comfortable.

Building heat honestly

The class warms from the feet upward over the first fifteen minutes, then holds a working temperature for twenty, then cools. Because the build is gradual, most people find they can work harder than they expect without feeling wrecked afterwards.

Early and quiet

This is a 7am class, so it starts quietly and gets going within a few minutes. Regulars turn up half awake and leave properly alert; several go straight to work from here.

What the class delivers

Built honestly

Heat comes from the sequencing, not from the thermostat.

Clean lines

Nina is exacting about shape without being precious about it.

A quiet start

Early enough that the building is still calm.

An early and quiet room

Eat lightly beforehand or not at all, and bring a towel. Forty-five minutes is not long, and this class uses all of it.

Warm without a heated room, which I did not think was possible. Nina builds it so gradually that you only notice how hard you have worked when you stop.

Get In Touch

Do I need experience to start?

No. Every class is taught with options rather than expectations, and our Fundamentals and Gentle sessions assume no prior practice at all. Tell your teacher it's your first time and they will look after you.

What should I bring to my first class?

Comfortable clothes and a water bottle. Mats, blocks, straps and bolsters are all provided, and there are showers and lockers in the changing rooms.

Can I come without a membership?

Yes. Drop-in classes and pay-as-you-go class packs sit alongside our memberships, so you can practise as often or as rarely as suits you.

How early should I arrive?

Fifteen minutes before your first class, and around five for every class after that. It gives you time to check in, settle and set up your mat without rushing.

Can I pause or cancel my membership?

Pause or cancel anytime with 30 days notice. There are no joining fees and no lock-in contracts, and any unused class credits stay on your account.

Do you teach pregnant or injured students?

We do. Several of our teachers are qualified in pre and postnatal practice and in therapeutic yoga. Let us know before class so your teacher can adapt the session for you.
