Vinyasa Flow

Your first flow class
Vinyasa means linking movement to breath, and this class is where that link gets built. We work with a small set of shapes, repeated often enough that your body starts to recognise them, and we stop as often as we move. If you have been meaning to try yoga for a while and keep putting it off, this is the hour to come to.
Good to know
- No previous yoga experience is assumed at any point.
- Every shape is offered with a lower and a higher option.
- You can rest whenever you want to; nobody will comment.

What the hour looks like
We begin sitting, for five minutes or so, just noticing how the breath is arriving. Then a slow warm-up on hands and knees, a few rounds of a simple standing sequence, and a long settle at the end. Nothing is fast. Clara names each shape twice, once in English and once in Sanskrit, so the vocabulary becomes familiar without anyone having to memorise it.
What you need to bring
Comfortable clothes you can move in and a water bottle. Mats, blocks and straps are all here. Arrive five or ten minutes early on your first visit so you can say hello and find a spot you like.
How the hour is built
Every shape is taught slowly and given its name.
No prior experience, no flexibility, no equipment.
Clara expects wobbling and treats it as normal.
What to bring
Most people find the first class is the hardest and the second is easy. Come twice before you decide whether it suits you.

Frequently Asked
Questions

Still have a question?
Send us a message and we'll come back to you within one business day.
Do I need experience to start?
No. Every class is taught with options rather than expectations, and our Fundamentals and Gentle sessions assume no prior practice at all. Tell your teacher it's your first time and they will look after you.
What should I bring to my first class?
Comfortable clothes and a water bottle. Mats, blocks, straps and bolsters are all provided, and there are showers and lockers in the changing rooms.
Can I come without a membership?
Yes. Drop-in classes and pay-as-you-go class packs sit alongside our memberships, so you can practise as often or as rarely as suits you.
How early should I arrive?
Fifteen minutes before your first class, and around five for every class after that. It gives you time to check in, settle and set up your mat without rushing.
Can I pause or cancel my membership?
Pause or cancel anytime with 30 days notice. There are no joining fees and no lock-in contracts, and any unused class credits stay on your account.
Do you teach pregnant or injured students?
We do. Several of our teachers are qualified in pre and postnatal practice and in therapeutic yoga. Let us know before class so your teacher can adapt the session for you.
